Nice; Pebble Beach

Impressions of Nice: plenty of good looking food, amazing pebble beach, antique market, colored buildings, and it's shady thanks to tall colored buildings.  We took a tram to the main part of the city and wandered.  Signs for a public toilet led us up a hill, through a park, across a ruined castle and to nice views of the ocean.  Patrick called this expedition the "Tour du Toilette" Left to our own devices I think we would have given our legs a break and skipped this viewpoint.  Below the hill, we saw some art in the galleries of the old town.

We bought a map at a newspaper stand and checked out our route for the next stage of the trip.

Then for some relaxation on the beach.

Top food of the day: the ravioli and veg meal that Anna cooked up - with anise in it - yum yum
